These are the current Massachusetts Cancer Registry edits.  They may be used with software to check the quality of cancer abstracts before submission to the Cancer Registry.  Download a compressed file, extract the edits metafile, and save it to a location that is accessible to your software.

Metafile notes

As of 07/24/2024 the MCR has two metafiles available for download.

  • V23b, for those facilities that need it.
  • V24A, for facilities that are preparing for 2024 case reporting.

Note: If you upgraded to MA v24, there were several SEER Central edits that were mistakenly included in the edits set. This has been corrected and the current MA v24A metafile only contains one edit set not two as in the MA v24.
