Massachusetts Cancer Registry edits

These are the current Massachusetts Cancer Registry (MACR) edits. They may be used with software to check the quality of cancer abstracts before submission to the Cancer Registry.  Download a compressed file, extract the edits metafile, and save it to a location that is accessible to your software. 

Beginning with diagnosis year 2024, the MACR implemented modified records program. This will allow the MACR to receive updated information of cancer cases previously reported. The Modified Records Trigger List can be downloaded here.
