Unfortunately, there is no free or visitor parking available. Metered spaces are available on a limited basis. The closest parking garage is the Boston Common Garage located on Charles Street, between the Boston Common and the Public Garden

  • The Special Collections Department (Room 55) is located in the west wing at the front of the building. Proceed to the end of the west wing corridor on the first floor and take the elevator at the end of the hall to the basement. Special Collections is to the right when exiting the elevator.
  • The main reading room (Room 341) and the periodicals balcony (Room 442) are located in the rear of the building on the third and fourth floors.
