The Mandated Reporter Commission (MRC) was established by the Childhood Wellness Bill of 2019. The MRC is composed of statutorily identified members and is charged with reviewing and reporting on the mandated reporter laws and regulations as well as making recommendations on how to improve the response to, and prevention of, child abuse and neglect. The MRC provided the Legislature with a Status Report in December 2020 and a final report in June 2021.
If you would like to know more about the work of the Mandated Reporter Commission, or if you have questions or comments, please contact Cristine Goldman, Director of Policy and Legal Counsel for the Office of the Child Advocate.
