BOSTON — Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell today issued the following statement to celebrate the first day Uber and Lyft drivers will begin accruing sick leave as a result of her Office’s historic settlement with the companies in June:

“Today, for the very first time in Massachusetts, Uber and Lyft drivers will begin to accrue paid sick leave. This aspect of our settlement ensures drivers receive basic benefits and a standard of dignity that allow them to care for themselves and their families, marking a huge step forward in protecting the rights of all of our rideshare drivers.” said AG Campbell.

More information about the settlement, including answers to Frequently Asked Questions, can be found here.
