The State Library turned 200 last month and this month we are keeping the celebration going by sharing some items from its 100th birthday in March 1926! Displayed are an invitation and program from a celebratory event on March 3, 1926, along with the March 1, 1926 issue of Library Journal featuring an image of the library on its cover. Complementing these items is a photograph of library staff and patrons in our reading room in 1912. All of the displayed items are found in our institutional records, read more about them and their connection to our upcoming Preservation Week in this week’s blog post, and visit us from March 31 to May 5 to see these items on display in our reading room.
