Boston, MA — The public hearing on the Formal Charges against Judge Shelley Joseph will begin on Monday, June 9, 2025.  The hearing will take place in Courtroom 1309 of the Suffolk County Courthouse, located at 3 Pemberton Square in Boston, Massachusetts.  The hearing will begin with a view at the Newton District Court at 7:30 a.m. on June 9, 2025.  Immediately after the view is completed, the hearing will resume at the Suffolk County Courthouse. 

The hearing will be presided over by the Hearing Officer appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court, Attorney Denis J. McInerney.  Guidance regarding news media protocol and coverage will be provided at a later date.  News media may direct any inquiries to communications@cjc.state.ma.us

This hearing will take place pursuant to G.L. c. 211C, sec. 7 and Commission Rule 10.  The Commission’s governing statute and rules are available on the Commission’s website: www.mass.gov/cjc.  The Formal Charges and Judge Joseph’s Response to the Formal Charges are available on the Commission’s website.
