Boston, MA — Judge Richard A. Mori, Associate Justice of the District Court Department, has this day been reprimanded by the Commission on Judicial Conduct for the misconduct described in the attached portion of the Agreed Disposition.  The charges against Judge Mori alleged that during a lobby conference, in reference to seven Cambodian defendants, Judge Mori uttered the words, "We ought to send them right back to the Killing Fields."  The Supreme Judicial Court appointed S. Stephen Rosenfeld, Esq. as Special Counsel to the Commission to pursue this matter.

Judge Mori has waived his right to a hearing and has agreed to a private reprimand to be made public, the assignment of a mentor judge and educational training.  Judge Mori offers the attached apology for the aforementioned misconduct.
