News  Don’t Fall for Jury Duty Scams

Jury duty scams are on the rise.

The Office of Jury Commissioner (OJC) is receiving an increasing number of inquiries and complaints from people who have been contacted and told they will be arrested, they need to pay a fine, or a member of their family has missed their jury service. OJC will never contact you by phone and threaten arrest or demand payment of money. Hang up on any such calls. To learn more, view the video from the Middlesex Sheriff’s Department.
