The OJC provides randomly selected pools of jurors, representative of the communities from which they are drawn, to each of the state's Trial Jury and Grand Jury courts.

The document linked below contains copies of the standard communications and information provided to all persons summoned for jury duty concerning COVID-19, including information about the Trial Court’s safety protocols, juror surveys on COVID-19 concerns and health, and COVID-19-related procedures for potential jurors. There is also information on where to find a video on mass.gov on COVID-19 and jury service, as well as a chart containing demographic information on persons appearing for jury service in 2019, during the pandemic, and during Phase 1 of jury trials.

Who we serve

The Jury Commissioner, Pamela J. Wood, and her office create the master juror list for each judicial district, issue summonses, and help jurors respond to summonses. The OJC also works to educate jurors and the public about the importance and value of jury service.
