A Call for Supplies for the Continental Army, 1775

As a complement to our new exhibit, Raising the Alarm: Revolutionary Broadsides at the State Library, each month a broadside from that exhibit will be on display in our Collection Spotlight case. This month, we are sharing a broadside notice issued by the Provincial Congress in Watertown on July 9, 1775 asking towns to contribute garments in support of the recently formed Continental Army. The bottom portion of the notice lists the quantity that each individual town was responsible for providing.
