The GIC encourages all members to actively shop and evaluate their health coverage options during our Annual Enrollment, which runs April 3 – May 1, 2024. Note: If members do not want to select a different health plan during Annual Enrollment no further action is needed to remain in their current health plan.
Get prepared for Annual Enrollment:
1. Review your 2024-2025 GIC Benefits Guide
GIC Benefit Guides provide important benefit information for the upcoming benefits year (July 1 – June 30), including benefits-at-a-glance, new benefit rates, helpful resources, important reminders, and more!
This year, for the first time, the GIC state employee and state retiree & survivor benefit guides are combined. This change will help guide employees who are transitioning from active employment into retirement.
2. Register for the MyGICLink Member Benefits Portal
GIC members with an up-to-date email address on GIC records received a registration email and now have access to this new self-service tool. If you have not received a MyGICLink registration email, view the MyGICLink resources and tutorials page for instructions.
3. Contact GIC Benefits Plans and Carriers
Contact the benefit plans you're evaluating to ask questions about guidance or assistance regarding finding providers, tiered doctor and hospital lists, member ID cards, fitness and wellness programs, and more.
