BOSTON, MAHousing Court Chief Justice Timothy F. Sullivan and Trial Court Administrator Jonathan S. Williams today announced the reappointment of Benjamin O. Adeyinka as Deputy Court Administrator for the Housing Court Department, effective October 1, 2020. Mr. Adeyinka’s term is coterminous with the term of Chief Justice Sullivan, who was reappointed for a second five-year term on October 1.

“Deputy Court Administrator Adeyinka has done an excellent job as the Court has expanded its jurisdiction statewide,” said Chief Justice Sullivan. “He has led the effort to expand access to justice through technology and by simplifying processes for court users. As we face challenges from the pandemic, I look forward to my continued partnership with Ben to develop solutions wherever possible.”

“We are very pleased to reappoint Ben Adeyinka as Deputy Court Administrator,” said Court Administrator Jonathan Williams. “DCA Adeyinka’s efforts expanding the accessibility of Housing Court programs and implementing eFiling for attorneys and self-represented litigants are an important part of our mission to innovate and improve services for the public.”

Benjamin Adeyinka was appointed Housing Court Deputy Court Administrator in September 2018, after serving as an Administrative Attorney in the Housing Court’s Administrative Office since 2014. He previously worked for Orlans Moran PLLC in Boston where he handled trials, appeals and settlements on foreclosures, bankruptcy cases and title challenges cases in the Housing, District, Superior, Federal and Appeals Courts. He represents the Housing Court on the Trial Court’s Public Outreach Committee. In 2015, he co-authored Chapter 15 of MCLE’s Residential and Commercial Landlord Tenant Practices in Massachusetts. The Real Estate Bar Association presented him with an Emerging Leader Award in 2016.

Attorney Adeyinka holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of New York at Buffalo, an MBA from Medaille College, and a law degree from the Massachusetts School of Law. He is a member of the Real Estate Bar Association and the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association. He resides in Lynn with his wife, Attorney Ruth Adeyinka.
