BostonBoston, MA (Aug. 31, 2021) – The Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Davis as Administrative Training Assistant, effective September 13th.  Mary will be responsible for delivering support and technical assistance to self-advocate lead trainers in providing education, training, support and mentoring to students in the Council’s training programs.  Through these opportunities students explore and share their personal skills and qualities and how those skills and qualities can be of value in the workplace and their daily lives.

Born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts, Mary became an educator, most recently serving as a trauma behavioral history educator in Rockland.    Ms. Davis earned her M.Ed. in History and Special Education. Community involvement has included guest speaking engagements with MASS CUE, Thomas W. Hamilton School and Q-HELP. 

“Mary brings to the Council her extensive experience in educating middle and high school students with disabilities,” said Daniel Shannon, MDDC Executive Director. “Her expertise in planning for college and career readiness and assisting students with job training and career placement will be a significant addition to our training team.”
