Quincy, Mass. — In support of communities during the holiday season, the Massachusetts Developmental Disabilities Council (MDDC) has partnered with Wonderfund to deliver holiday gifts to Massachusetts children in foster care.

2025 marks the second year of the collaboration with Wonderfund. This year, MDDC staff provided gifts for 19 children with disabilities under the care of the Department of Children and Families (DCF). From dolls to backpacks, these gifts will provide holiday spirit to children in the Brockton area.

“All the gifts were fabulous. Some of them are for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and many of the children have been through challenging times, so these gifts will help brighten their holiday season,” said Patricia Jackson, MDDC’s Administrative Assistant who organized the initiative.

According to Wonderfund, 35,000 children across Massachusetts have an open case with DCF. Through their holiday gift drive initiative, they are working to make sure each of these children have a gift of their choosing to open to experience the true magic of the holiday season.

Individuals or organizations interested in participating in the Wonderfund Gift Drive can visit www.wonderfundma.org to learn more and sign up.
