The HIC Registrations and Renewals office will be moving to 1000 Washington Street, Suite 710 on Friday, June 29. Walk-in registration/renewal will still take place at One Ashburton Place, Suite 1301 through June 28. Forms and applications should be mailed to the old address until June 22.
Please note, we will not be processing any HIC applications or renewals on June 29.

- Contractors looking to register as a Home Improvement Contractor or renew an existing registration
- Contractors or subcontractors looking to obtain a duplicate HIC registration card
- Contractors or subcontractors looking to obtain a supplemental HIC registration card
- Contractors looking to update/change their DBA
- Contractors looking to update/change their address
Who does this move NOT affect?
- Homeowners looking to file a complaint against a contractor
- Contractors or homeowners involved in an enforcement hearing
- Homeowners or contractors involved in arbitration
- Homeowners applying for or awaiting payment from the Guaranty Fund

The Home Improvement Contractor Arbitration Program and Guaranty Fund will remain at the Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation’s main office: 501 Boylston St, Suite 5100, Boston, MA 02116. REMINDER: This location CANNOT process HIC applications. Please DO NOT come to this address if you are looking to register or renew an HIC registration.
