Public Notice of Contraband Interdiction System Activation CellBlox Acquisitions, LLC (a Securus Technologies company) announces the installation and activation of a Contraband Interdiction System (CIS) at Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center located at 1671 Shirley Road, Lancaster, MA 01523on 08/30/2021. Description of Service: The Contraband Interdiction System (CIS) is designed to control illegal contraband cell phone use inside Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center and within inmate housing buildings. This system works by replicating commercially available mobile carrier cellular networks (ex. AT&T, Verizon Wireless) within the prison using a private micro cellular network. By replicating the commercial carrier’s network illegally used contraband cell phones will be connected to the CIS network when attempting a voice call, text or data session. The CIS will manage the phone and prevent it from accessing the commercial carrier network. The CIS will route approved 911 emergency calls received from all cell phones that connect to the CIS. The CIS will be operated by CellBlox Acquisitions, LLC (a Securus Technologies company) as a Private Mobile Radio Service (PMRS) in compliance with FCC regulations as described in FCC Commission Rules and Regulations 47 CFR Parts 1 and 20, GN Docket 13-111; FCC 17-125.
