News  Reminder For GIC Medicare Members

Important! All GIC Medicare insurance health plans include Medicare Part D Prescription coverage. If you enroll in a non-GIC Medicare Part D product during Medicare Open Enrollment or anytime throughout the year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services will terminate your GIC coverage. This means that you will lose your GIC health, behavioral health, and prescription drug benefits.

If your GIC Medicare Health Plan is terminated, your next opportunity to apply to re-enroll in GIC health coverage is during GIC’s Annual Enrollment period which occurs every Spring for coverage effective July 1^st.
