Boston — “I want to thank the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce and President Jim Rooney for supporting the Pay Equity bill before the Legislature. This important update to a 70-year old law will help ensure that women are fairly compensated for their work. This bill provides incentives for businesses to do the right thing, pay equal wages for equal work, which is why earning the support of the Chamber and business owners means so much. The work of our office is always made better by our partnership with the business community and legislators, including Senators Karen Spilka, Dan Wolf and Pat Jehlen. With this broad coalition, I’m confident that passage is near.”
