Detail from Audubon Plate 78, Great Carolina Wren

This month, we’re heading south in our journey to commemorate the 13 original colonies by displaying their state bird in our Audubon case. On view is the Carolina Wren, South Carolina’s State Bird. Despite its name, this wren has a large range and isn’t limited to the Carolinas, it can be spotted here in the Northeast. Visit us from May 12 through June 9 to see it on display, and read more in our blog post.
