Press Release  Treasurer Deborah Goldberg Reappoints Enrique Zuniga to The Massachusetts Gaming Commission

Boston —  Today, Treasurer Goldberg reappointed Enrique Zuniga to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission. Zuniga has served as a Commissioner for the last five years as former Treasurer Steve Grossman’s appointee.

“Enrique Zuniga has served the Gaming Commission with distinction,” said Treasurer Deb Goldberg. “I am delighted to reappoint such an experienced member and look forward to seeing how he continues to serve the Commission and the Commonwealth in the years to come.”

A graduate of the Yale School of Management, Enrique Zuniga served as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust, where he re-procured its advisors and service providers, issued a competitive short term financing of $100 million, and prepared the permanent financing of $450 million of loans. Prior to the serving on the Trust, he served as director of quality assurance at the Massachusetts School Building Authority. He also served as a manager at the accounting firm Ernst & Young.

The Massachusetts State Treasurer appoints one member with a background in corporate finance and securities to the Gaming Commission every five years. Additionally, the Massachusetts Governor and Attorney General appoint their own members to the five-member panel.
