Lowell, MA — The five crew members—probationers ordered to perform community service by the court—spent several days prepping, scrapping and wire brushing a wrought iron fence at the park to remove rust and paint chips before painting it.
“The hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated. They help keep Jollene Dubner Park a wonderful green space for the community to enjoy,” said Antonio Trinidad Martinez, Community Conservation Coordinator.
Community Service Court Service Coordinators Jadeque Douglas, Dan Lynch, and Kevin Spitz managed the crew. Jollene Dubner Park, located at 36 Merrill Street, “offers one of the most scenic river views in the city,” according to the Lowell Parks and Recreation Trust website. The park was built in 2000 and provided the first public access to the Concord River in Lowell.
