Exemptions From Foreign Transmittal Licensing Requirements For Telegraph Companies

Mass. Gen. Laws chapter 169, section 1 exempts telegraph companies from the foreign transmittal licensing requirements of said section. However, any entity, other than a bank authorized to do business in the Commonwealth, and intending to engage in the business of selling, issuing or registering checks or money orders must obtain a check seller's license pursuant to Mass. Gen. Laws chapter 167F, section 4.
