The Accessibility Training Plan Working Group is one of the FY25 objective working groups for the Digital Accessibility and Equity Governance Board. The group provides recommendations to create an accessible, usable, and inclusive digital environment for all the Commonwealth of Massachusetts employees and residents to fully participate in programs, services, and activities.
About Us
The Accessibility Training Plan Working Group contributes to providing accessibility training to introduce Commonwealth employees to digital accessibility in conjunction with role-based accessibility requirements under the Digital Accessibility and Equity Governance Board.
From Executive Order 614
The Chief IT Accessibility Officer, in consultation with the Board, shall assess the current digital accessibility training requirements for executive department employees with responsibility for digital content and, in collaboration with the Massachusetts Office on Disability and the Human Resources Division, develop and implement a Digital Accessibility and Equity Training Plan that may establish new training or continuing education requirements for such employees.

Working Group Objective
Provide accessibility training to introduce Commonwealth employees to digital accessibility in conjunction with role-based accessibility requirements.
Goals
- Provide Digital Accessibility Introduction Training: Provide introductory training for current Commonwealth employees, new hires and contractors to get a basic understanding of digital accessibility.
- Provide Role-Specific Digital Accessibility Training: Provide relatable role-based trainings incorporating Commonwealth content to increase digital accessibility knowledge and skills for all Commonwealth employees and contractors.
