Digital Accessibility and Equity Governance Board

The Digital Accessibility and Equity Governance Board aims to promote digital accessibility in the Commonwealth. It will guide the Secretary and the Chief IT Accessibility Officer (CIAO) of the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS) on digital equity, including standards, policies, procurement, and federal funding opportunities.

About Us

On the 33rd anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Governor Healey issued Executive Order No. 614, creating a new Digital Accessibility and Equity Governance Board. The Executive Order created the role of Chief IT Accessibility Officer within the Executive Office of Technology Services and Security (EOTSS). Additionally, Accessibility Officers are appointed within each Executive Office. Together, they aim to create strategies that promote best practices in digital accessibility.

FY2025 Digital Accessibility Working Groups

The working groups consist of 4 groups to cover the objectives led by co-leads of a board member(s) and a public board member, and additional board members.  The groups may bring in external expertise if needed, and/or they can collaborate with EOTSS staff.
