Who we serve

Our mission is to advance women toward full equality in all areas of life, and to promote rights and opportunities for all women throughout their lives.

It has been an exciting and active period for the MCSW: having been strongly involved in advocating for the Equal Pay Bill--among other legislative priorities--we are thrilled that this landmark legislation passed in August 2016. Since then, we have led numerous equal pay education panels for employers, employees, and those seeking work; held 4 public hearings across the Commonwealth; heralded the creation of 2 new regional Commissions on the Status of Women (CSWs); proposed 3 more regional CSWs and continued supporting existing ones; hosted our 6th annual Advocacy Day at the State House; and in June 2017, we honored more than 115 Unsung Heroines from across the Commonwealth.
