The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) Rehabilitation Council (RC) consists of at least 15 members who are appointed by the Governor. The majority of the members are blind. Members serve for a term of not more than three years. No member may serve more than two consecutive full terms.
The Massachusetts Commission for the Blind (MCB) Rehabilitation Council (RC) is a federally mandated independent advisory council. The Council was established to provide a forum for stakeholders to advise, assess, and assist MCB in its provision of vocational rehabilitation programs and services to residents of the Commonwealth who are blind.
The Rehabilitation Council meets quarterly, on the first Wednesday in March, June, September, and December, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. All meetings are open to the public. The meetings are recorded and posted on MCB's YouTube channel.
If you require an ADA accommodation, please submit the online request form or contact MCB's ADA Coordinator Shauntay M. King at (617) 894-4352 or Shauntay.M.King@mass.gov at least 2 weeks prior to the event. Every effort will be made to provide reasonable accommodations. The online request form is titled "Reasonable Accommodations for Executive Department Employees" but may be used by the public.
