OTA helps Massachusetts toxics users properly manage and reduce their use of toxic or hazardous substances. Toxics users can include:
- manufacturing and assembly operations,
- industrial facilities,
- small businesses,
- startups and new businesses,
- laboratories,
- research and development facilities, and
- municipal facilities.
OTA serves:
- Business owners by recommending ways to better comply with environmental regulations and reduce costs associated with toxics, energy, and water use
- The public by reducing the risk of toxic releases in communities
- Workers by encouraging the elimination of harmful exposures to chemicals
- Local and state officials by acting as a liaison with businesses
