The former fire chief of Ware will pay $20,000 in restitution after pleading guilty to embezzlement charges in Hampshire County Superior Court on Tuesday.

The Attorney General's Office secured a guilty plea.

Former Leyden Police Chief Daniel J. Galvis admitted to sufficient facts in larceny of town property.

The defendant was also ordered to pay $222,074 in restitution.
