Arthur Choo, Jr., AIA
Arthur Choo Jr. is the owner and president of Choo & Company Inc. For 38 years, Arthur has been practicing architecture in Boston and surrounding areas, specializing in multi-family housing and commercial buildings. He is a registered architect with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, State of New Hampshire, and the State of Connecticut. In addition, Arthur is NCARB (National Council of Architectural Boards) Certified, a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional, a member of the AIA (American Institute of Architecture), and the BSA (Boston Society of Architects).
Arthur graduated from Kent State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. He continued his studies at Kent State, and in 1986 earned his Master of Architecture in Preservation and Design. After briefly working for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Environmental Management, and Division of Capital Planning and Operations, he founded Choo & Company Inc. in 1993. He then went on to earn his Master in Business Administration from University of Massachusetts, Boston in 1996.
He continues an interest in civic minded activities where he currently serves on the on the Board of Advisors of Higher Ground, and the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts. In the past, he has served on the Board of the Huntington Avenue YMCA, as President of Massachusetts Construction Industry Board, the Hingham Historic Board and as speaker at Build Boston Convention.
