Professional Development & Technical Assistance for EI Providers

Professional Development Resources for Early Intervention (EI) Providers

The Early Intervention Division offers comprehensive professional development and technical assistance. Our mission is to provide guidance, resources, and support to early intervention programs and personnel, enhancing their ability to deliver high-quality services. We ensure compliance with federal and state requirements, provide early intervention services based on scientific research, and improve outcomes and results for infants, toddlers with disabilities, and their families.

Under Part C of IDEA, each system must include a comprehensive system of personnel development (CPSD), paraprofessionals, and the training of primary referral sources on the basic components of early intervention services available in the state. The CSPD focuses on innovative strategies and activities for recruitment and retention, promoting the preparation of qualified early intervention service providers, and training personnel to coordinate transition services.
