These regulations establish the process and qualifications for certification of well drillers, and what their responsibilities are.
These regulations, 310 CMR 46.00, became effective on April 16, 2010.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) is proposing amendments to 310 CMR 46.00, Certification of Well Drillers and Filing of Well Completion Reports, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 21G, §§ 21 and 40. The amendments are primarily intended to reflect the interdisciplinary nature of work being performed in the well drilling industry today, and to ensure that all industry professionals have the requisite training, knowledge, and experience to perform this work.

Each hearing will begin with a 30-minute informational presentation.
