Reimagining the Future of the Veterans' Home in Holyoke

The Commonwealth is committed to making the capital investments required to supporting the right, necessary facility improvements for the Veterans' Home in Holyoke, both for immediate fixes and long-term changes.

The Commonwealth has submitted its initial grant application to the VA State Home Construction Grant Program, the first step in the process to apply for up to 65% project reimbursement.

The expedited capital project is following the recommendations laid out in the needs assessment report that was released on Veterans Day, following the Rapid Planning Phase. Payette Associates is the design firm leading the design and planning phase, building on the evaluation they previously completed, and developing a full project scope, refining the plan, confirming the budget, timelines, and ensuring conformity with the regulatory process.
