Request Advice from the State Ethics Commission

Request confidential advice from an attorney about how the conflict of interest law applies to you.

All state, county and municipal employees must comply with the conflict of interest law. The law places some restrictions on what public employees may do on the job, after hours, and after leaving public service.

You may call the Commission to request confidential advice from the Attorney of the Day (AOD). The AOD will call you back within 1 to 2 business days.

You may send the Commission a request for written advice. You will receive a written response within 30 days.

You may also request telephone or written advice online.
