About MassWorkforce WIOA policy issuances

Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Active WIOA policies will be categorized by subject matter and will have new policy numbers assigned. New policy numbers will contain an identifier for the MassHire Department of Career Services, the acronym, an identifier for the subject category, the policy number series, and an identifier to indicate a policy revision.

Below is an example of the new policy number assignment.

You can use different methods to locate a policy:

1. Click on the Policy Categories based on the policy subject. (Search by category).
2. The second is to use the search function by typing a key word into the Mass.gov search box. This will result in a list of policies in which the key word is present.     
3. The third is to enter the policy number into the search box.
