Seeking to better serve the environmental needs of the Commonwealth’s most vulnerable residents, Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Matthew A. Beaton and state environmental officials have announced updates to the Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs’(EEA) Environmental Justice Policy, which delivers the necessary resources to aggressively combat against environmental burdens unduly placed onto low income communities and communities of color.
New Executive Order on Environmental Justice
The Executive Order 552 was issued on November 25th, 2014 requiring Secretariats to take action in promoting environmental justice.
