First Aid and CPR training for child care providers

To help ensure the health and safety of children in child care, the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) requires all educators to complete training in First Aid and CPR.

Required training for licensed programs

First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training gives you the information and the skills you need to help in an emergency. Training on First Aid and CPR is available through several organizations, including the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, and Heart Savers. You must maintain current certification in First Aid, and you must renew your CPR certification annually.
