Massachusetts JDAI Current Strategic Work Plans and Goals

With the support of the Annie E. Casey Foundation and Massachusetts Juvenile Justice leaders, we have set several high-level strategic objectives for JDAI.

They are captured in four main strategic planning goals:

  1. Ensuring equitable outcomes in youth serving systems, by deliberately targeting reform efforts to youth of color.
  2. Improving cross system collaboration at every decision point within youth serving systems to meet the unique needs of each youth and family.
  3. Guaranteeing equitable access and appropriate pro-social opportunities that promote positive youth development.
  4. Assuring fidelity to the JDAI 8 Core Strategies.

From these goals, JDAI leaders at both the county level and state level determine objectives and activities necessary to make progress on each of these goals.

The JDAI Governance Committee has worked over several months to refine and hone the activities for 2022.

We are glad to share this work with the juvenile justice community. JDAI work plans are ever-evolving and the Governance Committee certainly expects this plan to change, grow and reflect developing priorities over time. Please pursue these documents and share your feedback on the work at your local committee, your statewide committee, or at jdai@state.ma.us
