This data set displays consumer complaints received by the Attorney General’s Consumer Advocacy and Response Division (CARD). CARD receives complaints from the public through the Attorney General’s website, through the mail, by direct referral from Local Consumer Programs, and from state and federal agencies. CARD is staffed with professionals who review these complaints to determine if they are appropriate for free consumer assistance services. The fields Subject Code, Industry and Subject are populated by AGO. Prior to October 18, 2017 the field Subject Code included information about both the Industry and the Subject of the complaint. This information is now provided in two separate fields. In most cases, the Subject of the complaint refers to the type of product or service complained about.

The posting of this data does not mean that the Office has made a determination as to the merits of these complaints or the validity of the information provided. Please note that where publication of certain data may lead to the identity of the complainant or compromise investigatory efforts, that data has not been included.

The following data set display public information taken directly from complaints received by the Attorney General’s Office.
