Student Lists and Help Sessions for Completing Claims for Restitution

To: Current and Former Students of Xintra Institute of Technology, 1250 Hancock Street, Quincy, MA (formerly located at 10 Granite Street, Quincy, MA) and branch location at 14 Summer Street, Malden, MA
Date: September 29, 2003

Student Lists:
The owners of the Quincy and Malden locations of Xintra Institute of Technology did not comply with the regulations for private occupational schools by providing the Department with a list of current students. Therefore, the Department will attempt to compile a list of students who may be owed a tuition refund with the assistance of student loan companies and correspondence received from students. If you are aware of other students who may qualify for tuition reimbursement, please direct them to this web-site.

Help Sessions:
The Department is offering help sessions for students needing assistance filing claims for tuition reimbursement. Students who prepaid tuition and were unable to complete courses, and students who were issued "credit" for coursework by Xintra are eligible to apply. Sessions will be held in both Quincy and Malden and Claim for Restitution forms will be available. Please bring copies of your enrollment agreement and copies of payments (e.g., promissory notes, disclosure statements, credit card statements, cancelled checks, cash receipts) and a representative from the Department will assist you in filing your claim. If you need an interpreter, please let the Department know which location you will be attending and what language you speak and every effort will be made to obtain an interpreter. To request an interpreter, please email us at Occupational.Schools@state.ma.us or call us at 617-727-5811.

The Department greatly appreciates your help in keeping the volume of phone calls it receives to a minimum by checking these bulletins as it helps our small staff concentrate on completing the high volume of work experienced by this unit. We thank you for your help and patience in this matter.
