The Alcohol Task Force

The Massachusetts State Treasurer and Receiver General Deborah B. Goldberg has convened an Alcohol Task Force to examine the legal and regulatory framework governing the alcoholic beverage industry in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Task Force consists of an independent group of professionals appointed by the Treasurer, Speaker of the House, Senate President, and Governor.

The Task Force is undertaking a comprehensive review and assessment of the alcoholic beverage industry and Massachusetts’ regulatory framework. As part of the assessment process, the Task Force will seek input from interested parties, hold public hearings, and establish diverse working groups focused on specific areas identified during the initial assessment process. The Task Force will ultimately make certain recommendations to Treasurer Goldberg for her consideration.
