The AXIS has many features that provide for a safe and easy transfer. Please note that you, the user, and your party are solely responsible for a safe transfer into the Trackchair. The government agency, park system, or organization you are borrowing the Trackchair from will not be able to physically assist you with the transfer process. However, we can provide you with tips to ensure a safe and easy transfer. | The narrator transfers from the Trackchair to his personal wheelchair. |
The armrests can move up to allow more room for transfer. To move the armrests up, locate the pin and handle lock located at the back of the armrest, and loosen. Move the armrest up. After transferring, move the armrest down and secure by tightening the handle. | He demonstrates moving the armrests up and down. |
The length of the armrests can also be adjusted by using the handle lock located on the outside of the armrest. | He demonstrates adjusting the length of the armrest. |
To adjust the width of the armrests, unlock the thumb screws and remove the pins located on the rear of the back rest. Find the position that is most comfortable. Return the pins and tighten the thumb screw. | He demonstrates adjusting the width of the armrest. |

The seat tilt switch is located at the base of the hand support on the opposite side of the hand control. This switch allows you to tilt on the fly while still operating the Trackchair. When approaching an obstacle along your path, | DRIVING TIPS |
like a stump, log, or rock, direct your left or right track to directly encounter the obstacle to avoid high centering. Do not try to clear the obstacle. When approaching a steep incline, maneuver using a zigzag pattern. Tilt the seat backwards to allow for enough clearance at the base of the footrest. | The narrator zigzags up a hill in the Trackchair. |
