How to tell if you have a MyMassGov Account
While you may have an account with a state service or application that uses MyMassGov, that does not mean you also have a MyMassGov account.
You can tell if you already have a MyMassGov account by trying to log in.
What you need:
Make sure you know which type of account you may have created. It will either be a Business account (for your job or your business) or a Personal account (for yourself or your family).
If you're not sure what type of account you might have created, see the list of applications on the mass.gov/MyMassGovhelp page.
Steps to check if you have a MyMassGov account:
Go to the   -www.my.mass.gov/
Select the type of account you may have: Either Personal or Business.
At the login screen, enter the email address and password you think you used and select “Log In.”  If the information you enter is correct, you’ll be logged in. This example uses a Personal login
If either the username or password is incorrect, you’ll get an on-screen message that says “The email or password is incorrect. To reset your password, click "Forgot Password." You can either:
Try logging in again using a different username or password.
Tip:  If you have more than one email address, you may have set up your account using a different email address
OR select “forgot password.”.
Next, you’ll be asked to verify your email address by entering it in the box on the MyMassGov page. After you’ve done this, select “Send verification code”. If you have an account, you’ll receive a code by email. Enter the code in the box on the MyMassGov page and select “Verify”.
Choose whether you would like to get another code by text or call, and select “Send verification code”. When you receive the code, enter it the box on the MyMassGov page. After that, you’ll get a screen asking you to enter and confirm your new password.
If you enter your email address and get an email with “MyMassGov Password Reset Unsuccessful” as the subject, it means that the email you entered is not used with a MyMassGov account, and that you did not create one using it.
In this case, you need to register for a Personal account or register for a Business account, depending on which one you need.
