transcript  #MyCHEIStory: Tempe Staples

[Tempe Staples speaking] Hi, I’m Tempe Staples and I’m with the Coalition for a Healthy Greater Worcester. I am the Research and Evaluation Coordinator there, and the Community Health Equity Initiative data request tool is so helpful for so much of our work. This past year, we were able to work with Rebecca and her team on a data request that allowed us to dive into more deep and local disaggregated data, which is really essential for helping us understand what health inequities look like in our community, disaggregated across  race, income status, sex, sexual identity, and so many other demographic factors, so that  we can ensure that we are targeting solutions and issues that are really community-driven  and distributing to equity, populations that really need help the most when it comes to public  planning in our city and our region at large.
