Welcome to WIC smart
We’re very excited to offer online nutrition education modules that can be used instead of some in-person visits to your local WIC program.
To use WIC Smart you may choose to use a computer or a smartphone or tablet the login directions are slightly different for each device we will go through the instructions for all options.
If you're using a computer start by going to the WIC smart website www.wicsmart.com you will see this screen
Next click on participant login.
If you're using your smartphone or tablet go to the App Store search ‘WIC smart’ and download the app.
Once you have clicked participant login you will come to this screen select ‘WIC Massachusetts’
Next enter your child's 8-digit WIC member ID number that your local program gave you. After you have entered your child's member ID number you can choose your language.
You will now see all the different modules you can choose from, from there are lots of topics but remember you only need to complete one.
Click on any topic that you'd like to learn more about, for example let's say you selected the ‘Whole Grains’ module this is what the first screen would look like.
Next you would click the begin button at the bottom of the screen to start.
First there are instructions on how to go through the module once the voice-over is finished three buttons will appear at the bottom of the screen to move through the module.
Click the green next button if you need to go back to the previous screen, you may click the red back button if you need to stop at any point, click the blue Save button. You will be able to come back to where you left off the next time you login.
Once you have listened to the module there will be four quick questions asking about your experience. Click the green Next button to go to the first question, the first question asks if you've learned something new from the module once you've selected your answer click Next.
The second question asks what you might like to try after having viewed the module once you've selected an answer click Next.
The third question asks what you think about the module once you've selected an answer click Next.
The last question asks whether you liked WIC Smart more than coming into the WIC office for your visit once you've answered this question click Next
Congratulations, you're all done.
Once you've answered all four questions the final screen will show you that you completed the module. Your local WIC program will let you know what to do from here.
