Mission Statement

The mission of Access, Ability, and Achievement is to cultivate an environment that dismantles ABLEISM and incorporates and integrates universal design and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), ensuring that people with disabilities are valued as a critical part of- Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA’s) organizational success. We pledge to foster networking, educational and professional development, and leadership opportunities with a focus on the recruitment, retention, learning, and advancement of all professionals with disabilities at all levels of the agency.

Who we are

We are a group of DTA employees with disabilities and allies who believe that individuals with disabilities provide unique experiences, talents, and perspectives critical to DTA’s commitment to being an anti-poverty agency.  We are unique because we value the importance of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access.  We embrace and promote unity because of our unique lived experiences as individuals with disabilities and the allies who support them.
