Airport Safety and Maintenance Program (ASMP) Funding

Support for important airport planning and development projects that are ineligible or low priority for FAA funding as well as support for non-profit entities that provide aviation and advanced aviation technologies.

The MassDOT Aeronautics Division Airport Safety and Maintenance Program (ASMP) was specifically designed to support airport planning and development projects that are a priority for the Aeronautics Division and/or are a low, or ineligible priority for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The Aeronautics Division may reimburse an airport sponsor for up to 80% of the total project cost, or up to 100% of the total project cost for security improvement projects. The Aeronautics Division may also provide reimbursements to non-profit entities for up to 100% of eligible project costs that provide statewide benefits to aviation including safety, security, aviation/airport development and operationalization of advanced aviation technologies.
