By agreement of the parties, the Commission issued an order resolving a promotional bypass appeal for temporary fire lieutenant by reminding the Town to comply with all civil service law and rules, including written notification of reasons to bypassed candidates.
The Commission dismissed the examination appeal of Correction Officer I who took the promotional examination for Correction Officer II as he has no reasonable expectation of showing that his prior employment as a Therapeutic Safety Technician at Bridgewater State Hospital was comparable to CO duties.
Reclassification appeal allowed. Appellant has shown that she performs the level distinguishing duties of an Administrative Assistant I a majority of the time.
Promotional bypass appeal denied. Commission upheld City's decision to bypass Appellant for Fire Chief based in part on performance related issues when the Appellant was serving as Provisional Chief.
