Community Violence Prevention Task Force

Established in 2024 with the enactment of Chapter 135 of the Acts of 2024

The Task Force was responsible for reviewing the availability of federal funding to support community violence prevention programs and making recommendations to maximize federal funding in an equitable manner that supports community violence prevention service delivery across the Commonwealth. The Task Force was chaired by DPH Commissioner Robbie Goldstein, acting as the designee of the Secretary of Health and Human Services, and was comprised of a diverse panel of public health professionals, clinicians, community and youth violence prevention advocates, and local residents. The Task Force concluded its work with the submission of its report to the Governor and Legislature on December 2, 2024.
