As required by Chapter 503 of the Acts of 1983, the Division of Local Mandates has determined the fiscal year 2021 incremental cost to be incurred by each city and town for the next state primary to be conducted in September 2020 and general election to be conducted in November 2020. I hereby certify that the fiscal year 2021 statewide amount required by Chapter 503 is $2,110,065.06.
In addition, based on the fiscal year 2021 certified amounts, I hereby certify that the incremental expenses municipalities will incur due to Chapter 503 costs for the Presidential primary to be conducted in March 2020 (fiscal year 2020) is $1,055,032.53. Consequently, total Chapter 503 compliance costs for municipalities will be $3,165,097.59 for the calendar 2020 election cycle.
Enclosed is a separate listing of the amount certified for each city and town for the fiscal year 2020 Presidential primary and the fiscal year 2021 September primary and November election.
