Information for Employers about Child Support

We rely on a partnership with the employer community to help children get the financial support they are entitled to. More than 75% of all child support is collected by employers through income withholding. Employers also help their communities save taxpayer dollars by working with us. When employers report newly hired employees, the information provided helps to prevent or reduce erroneous benefits payments (unemployment insurance, workers' compensation) and public assistance fraud. We appreciate the role employers play in making the child support program successful.
